TYPICAL BEHAVIORS IN HOME, SCHOOL & COMMUNITY:
When adolescent girls are going through the various challenges in their lives, their behaviors may appear different depending upon the setting. For example, one girl may seem “out of control” at home, but “quiet” or “sullen” at school; whereas another girl may seem loud and defiant at school, yet cooperative and “on-task” on the athletic field or on-the-job. There are many reasons for these differences, and can be related to the difficulties and supports in their lives at the time. The different roles of ‘helper” will be discussed.
